About Kiran
Hi, I’m Kiran
A Presbyterian (USA) minister and spiritual director living on the north coast of Ireland; a musician and podcaster; a retreat and pilgrimage leader
My Story
As a child of international educators I grew up in Japan and India, surrounded by a variety of cultures, religions, and ways of life. My international upbringing engendered in me a love and respect for people of many backgrounds and walks of life.
My Christian faith community and spiritual life were central throughout my childhood and teenage years, and as a young adult I explored a variety of denominations and religious traditions before returning to my roots. After attending Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey, I was ordained as a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister. I later returned to receive training as a Spiritual Director.
Along with my husband Alex, also a PC(USA) minister, we have spent the majority of our professional lives in Northern Ireland. We are based on the north coast with the Corrymeela Community, a center for Peace and Reconciliation. We have three lively teenagers, and as a family we love forest walks, movie nights, and traveling to see family in North America.
My Passions
Singing with others, journaling, spending time with family, listening to life stories, walking on the coast, cold-water swimming, traveling and learning about languages and cultures, sitting by the fire, creating new things, reading fiction, snuggling with our dog, Sunny
My Training
Princeton Theological Seminary
Master of Divinity (2005), Master of Theology (2016)
Oasis Ministries/Princeton Theological Seminary
Spiritual Direction Certification (2016)

TEDx Talk
Much to my surprise, I was invited to be a presenter for TEDx Stormont (Belfast, N. Ireland) in January 2024, with the theme “Restore.” I came down with a terrible cold that week and could barely talk or sing! But I loved the experience of sharing something I’m passionate and getting to know and hear from the other amazing speakers. It was an honor to be invited to be a part such an incredible event.
